Course in brief

Microsoft 365 AI Governance and Tenant Audit is a one-day hands-on course for admins and IT teams, run in your own Microsoft 365 tenant. It has a fixed price from $4,500 per session for up to 12 people, delivered remotely or on-site.

What your people leave able to do.

Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, and security admins.

  • Find overshared SharePoint content before Copilot surfaces it
  • Apply sensitivity labels and data loss prevention that cover AI use
  • Use Purview Data Security Posture Management to see how AI is used across the tenant
  • Inventory agents and control who can create and share them
  • Search audit logs for Copilot and agent activity
  • Leave with a ranked remediation list for your own tenant

Agenda

1 day, 6.5 hours. Timings flex around your group.

  1. 0:00

    Where AI gets its data

Microsoft Graph, permissions, and the path from a prompt to a file.

  2. 1:00

    Oversharing audit

Finding sites and files shared too broadly, and fixing them in priority order.

  3. 2:30

    Labels and data loss prevention

Sensitivity labels and data loss prevention policies that apply to prompts and responses.

  4. 4:00

    Agents and settings

Agent inventory, who can build and share, and the Copilot settings in the admin center.

  5. 5:00

    Audit and reporting

Audit log searches for Copilot and agents, and a report leadership can read.

Before the session

Admin access for attendees in Microsoft 365, Purview, and SharePoint. Read access is enough for the audit; changes are made by your team after the session.

Commercial, GCC, and GCC High

Delivered for commercial, GCC, and GCC High tenants, against each cloud's Purview and admin center features.

What teams build after this course.

The audit you run in this course covers the controls you can see in a day. The readiness review covers the whole tenant in two weeks and ends with a ranked 90-day plan.

Questions about this course

Is this a training course or an audit?

Both. Admins learn each control on their own tenant, so the day ends with real findings and a ranked list of fixes rather than slides.

Do we need Microsoft 365 E5?

No. Some Purview features require E5 or add-ons, and the course covers what your licenses include and what the gaps would cost to close.

Should this come before a Copilot rollout?

Ideally, yes. Fixing oversharing before broad rollout prevents Copilot from surfacing content to people who should not see it.
